Glazed surfaces can carry branding and information or improve privacy. Before choosing a film, clarify the glass type, environment, area to cover and desired transparency.

Graphics with a clear purpose

A door logo, shop-window information and frosted bands on office glazing serve different purposes. Artwork must account for handles, frames, joins and visibility from both sides. Material compatibility with the particular glass is checked before production.

What to send for an estimate

Send photographs, dimensions, quantity and whether the graphics are for indoor or outdoor use. Include a logo or sketch. Let us know if existing graphics need to be removed.

Installation and cost

Material, printing or cutting area, detail count, access and surface preparation affect cost. Construction and installation conditions are agreed for the specific project.

Choosing a film and assessing the surface

Before selecting a material, establish whether the graphic will sit inside or outside, how much daylight should remain and which side people will read it from. Frosted film can separate spaces, cut graphics leave areas of clear glass, and printed film can carry a more detailed message. The final choice depends on the glass and the conditions in which it will be used.

Preparation and installation

A quotation needs the number of panes, individual measurements, glazing divisions, door handles and installation access. Removing an existing graphic and cleaning adhesive residue are separate tasks. Safety markings should remain clear within the decorative composition. Artwork should show the edges of the glass and the location of opening panels.

Common questions

Can the graphic be installed on the inside?

That is possible with some constructions. Reading direction, tinted glass and the required colour density all need assessment; a photograph alone cannot establish suitability.

Does changing opening hours mean replacing everything?

If the information panel is designed as a separate element, an independent replacement may be possible. Include this requirement in the initial brief.
